2016 Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)

14 Week Summer & Autumn CSA  •  July 6 ~ September 8, 2016  +  October 26 ~ November 17, 2016

What is a CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture is an agreement between shareholders and the farmer where both share in the risk and rewards of farming seasonal fruits and vegetables. CSA members pay a single lump sum early in the new year to receive a weekly share of the harvest throughout the growing season. Members pick up their shares once each week on a predetermined day. CSA members share the agricultural blessings or unpredictable changes of weather, eat locally grown fruits and vegetables and support their local farmer.

Why Become a Member of Giamarese Farm & Orchards CSA?
Purchasing your food locally is as fresh as it gets, from our fields to your table. Get to know the seasonal availability of different crops and commit yourself to healthy, fresh fruits & veggies each week. Jim & Sue Giamarese have been farming for over 30 years and Jim's family has been farming for over 70 years. He has served as past president of the NJ Agricultural Society, NJ Farm Bureau Director and President of the State Board of Agriculture. In 1989, Jim & Sue were recognized as National Outstanding Young Farmer and in 2012 were honored as Vegetable Grower of the Year.
How Does the Giamarese Farm CSA Work?
On your designated pick-up day, sign out your share and return the container from the previous week. There is one payment per share. Shares are non-transferable and non-refundable. Contents of weekly shares cannot be exchanged. If shares are not picked up, they are donated to a local food bank/pantry. Delivery is not available.
